- We welcome Readers' submissions uploaded to our FTP site at
- ftp.cu-amiga.co.uk but there are a couple of important points to
- observe when doing so. Here is the readme from the FTP site, note that
- it is essential that all submissions are accompanied by a separate
- readme file.
-
- =======================================================================
-
- Welcome to the CU Amiga ftp site. If you have something to upload for
- inclusion on the CU Amiga CD, there are a few instructions that need
- to be followed.
-
- Firstly, for security reasons, you can't upload from an anonymous
- login. Log in with the username of "cucd" and password of "reader".
- You can then upload your files to the submissions directory.
-
- Uploads should be in an archived format, such as lha, lzx or tgz.
- Please do not send dms archives, if it needs to be a complete floppy
- disk, then it won't run direct from the CD.
-
- Each upload must be accompanied with a readme file. If you upload
- MyProg.lha then also upload MyProg.readme. This file MUST inlcude the
- following information:
-
- If your are the author of the upload, then state your name, email
- address, permission to include it on the CU Amiga CD and a statement
- that you hold copyright for the enclosed files.
-
- If you are not the author, then give your name and email plus the
- author's name and contact info (either email, phone or snail address).
- Also state that this is for distribution on the CU Amiga CD and that
- you are uploading with the knowledge and permission of the author.
-
- Sorry for the hassle, but we have had work uploaded that was done
- without the consent of the authors, who were naturally upset that we
- included their work without asking.
-
-
- OTHER INFORMATION
-
- Please include any other relevant information in the readme, such as
- any libraries that must be present on the CD, if you are not including
- them. This is not the place for general documentation, that should be
- in the archive, but for anything that may help us to install it to run
- from the CD.
-
- Please don't use absolute paths for icon default tools etc. While
- MyDrive:Path/to/utilities/IconX may work on your system, it certainly
- won't work on the CD. If the default tools are standard stuff, like
- IconX, then there's no problem with giving no path. If the tools are
- specials, then include them in the archive.
-
-
- Thanks for reading this far, and sorry if it's a bit of a hassle, but
- it is necessary. Now log off and log back in as cucd, send us your
- submission and prepare for fame :)
